Top Five writer/director Chris Rock is making his promo rounds for his brand new comedy film (drops this Friday). And today, he stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club to chop it up with Angela Yee and Charlamagne. DJ Envy opted to sit this one-on-one interview out because he and Chris seem to have a little beef.
In case you haven’t heard, DJ Envy coaches his daughter’s recreational basketball team. And one day, Chris Rock’s daughter and Envy’s daughter went head-to-head on the bball court. Chris said Envy’s team was dominating his daughter’s team by at least 40 points and they had a girl on their team whom he dubbed as “Shaq”.
Chris got a little upset with Envy because Envy wouldn’t sit his best players out, steadily running up the score. So after the game, when Envy approached him for a picture with the kids, Chris declined saying “Your coach is an asshole!” Lordt….
So is Envy one of his Top 5 DJs? He said “hell no.” Ha!

Mr. Rock then made a surprise announcement that “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Karlie Redd is starring in the movie! Say what? Yep…but get this, Chris said he didn’t even know who she was when he gave her the part. Ha!
He said, “Karlie Redd is in the movie in the funniest scene in the movie. Karlie Redd’s nude in the movie. Karlie Redd is really good in the movie. I had never seen the show. She was just really good for the part.”
