Pink ladies! Best pals Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham brighten up freezing New York City while holding hands on a stroll

Let it be known that Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham are indeed best friends.
The pair couldn't help but share their affection with the world on Saturday, holding hands while clad in coordinating outfits for a stroll around New York City.
The 25-year-old songstress bundled up with a magenta-hued scarf around her neck, as Lena, 28, donned a chic powder pink coat.
And she appeared absolutely thrilled to catch up with Taylor, who towered over her in a pair of sky high ankle boots.
The crooner teamed her winter staple with a deep beige coat that hung loose upon her statuesque frame.
She finished off her chilly look with jet black leggings, and snapped on a pair of furry ear muffs over her shoulder-length locks.
Lena added a touch of her trademark quirk with a chain necklace, and rolled up slouchy trousers over cherry red ankle boots.
Lena and Taylor can thank their strong friendship to modern day technology, with Twitter serving as the platform of their initial introduction.
Taylor recalled in an interview with Rolling Stone that after following Lena on the microblogging site, she promptly received a private message from the Girls creator.  
'I still have it!' Taylor told the publication of the message. 'She said, "I am so excited about the prospect of being friends with you that I added the adjective best in front of it... The idea that you like my show is so thrilling, and I can't wait to lavish you with praise in person.'
In October Lena told Entertainment Tonight: 'Long before she was my friend, she was my friend in my head... I was listening to her while I wrote my first film, while I wrote the first season of Girls, while I wrote the second season of Girls - so she's definitely a soundtrack to many of my feelings.'
Last week, Taylor shared a photo to Instagram of the necklace Lena bought her for her birthday, which features an image of her cat Olivia Benson, and said it is her 'new most cherished possession.'
The accomplished stars have both been recognised this year for their work in their respective industries.
Taylor's summer hit Shake It Off has been nominated for a Grammy for Song Of The Year, while Lena's series Girls received two Golden Globe nods, including Best TV Comedy.
