The Voice‘s seventh season came to close on Dec. 16 and went out with a bang! Many amazing artists took the stage, from Fall Out Boy to Bruno Mars and even Lynyrd Skynyrd. We were going wild over their performance of “Sweet Home Alabama” with Craig Wayne Boyd, and apparently the judges were too!

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘The Voice’ Performance: Band Sings ‘Sweet Home Alabama’

Lynyrd Skynyrd knows how to excite their fans! The iconic Southern rock group, who gained popularity in the 1970s, put on a sweet performance with Craig right before he was crowned winner.

We loved the duet between Craig and the rock group — their voices meshed together well to recreate a song that’s loved by so many fans.

Voice judges Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were clearly loving it as well! Blake was bopping around to the beat while Gwen was nodding her head and wearing a genuine smile.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s performance was especially a moment to savor since they have not performed on television in quite some time, and it was such a comeback for the group. Perhaps Craig and the band will team up further — that would be a dream come true!
