LIFETIME Reveals Whitney Houston Biopic Trailer

We’re months away from the highly anticipated premiere of LIFETIME’s Whitney Houston biopic, debuting Saturday, January 17th at 8pm ET. And with the first official trailer, we finally get to see former “ANTM” chick Yaya DaCosta Alafia in action as the iconic Whitney Houston.

For Angela Bassett’s directorial debut, the LIFETIME telepic will chronicle the tumultuous relationship between the legendary singer/actress with her singer/songwriter ex-husband Bobby Brown (played by Belizean actor Arlen Escarpeta).

Much like the Aaliyah biopic, LIFETIME was unable to use Whitney’s original songs for the movie, so Grammy nominated singer Deborah Cox will be providing the vocals.
